Vintage V96 active 5 string bass came in for a service with an emphasis on the electrics.
Wiring has received a general tidy up, some soldered & taped joints have been renewed & treated to some heat shrink tubing.
The homebrew metal battery holder has been replaced with a plastic clip & the single securing screw through the PCB (a pull on the wiring could have resulted in a broken board) has been replaced with a pair of clamps.
The battery was totally depleted (0.7v) with signs of leaking, a replacement means the active EQ is now operating again.
Potentiometers were all cleaned & properly secured to the plate, two of which were just floating around in their holes.
Fret polish next then reassembly & a setup.
