Stagg mandolin @shrop.rock.doctor. A service & setup has much improved this Stagg electro mandolin.
The slots in the nut required cutting in a little deeper as the top pair of strings were occasionally jumping out.
The bridge has been totally reworked removing material to allow an extra 2mm movement, much improving playability. As delivered the bridge had a lean towards the headstock as it wasn’t carved to compliment the contour of the soundboard, this was corrected too.
The pickup was adjusted to the max height but still too far from the strings so the springs were removed & replaced with silicone tubes which allowed a little more lift.
Finally a good clean and restring, tuning to standard violin tuning GDAE ensuring that the bridge was correctly positioned for correct tuning.
