Spector bass @shrop.rock.doctor was brought in for a battery drain issue. Root cause was the switched jack socket intermittently not breaking the negative connection to the battery snap. Running a continuity check with a meter from the ground lug on the socket to the ring connection & inserting a jack plug repeatedly showed the connection wasn’t breaking every time so leaving the battery in circuit.
A replacement socket solved the issue.
