So the Fender 50th anniversary Strat came in to have a Gotoh tremolo fitted as the existing routed clearance was insufficient to allow correct travel of the block. This also isn’t the first time this guitar has had a new trem installed. Removal of the scratch plate revealed two previous post holes that have been plugged.
The owner requested that the trem be set up floating. Two springs only were installed in the rear as the supplied strings are 0.009s & best ballance & stability was achieved this way.
