So the Blackstar HT Studio 20 with intermittent buzzing, thermally induced after more probing turned out not to be tubes, I removed front end tubes & the problem persisted so I replaced the power tubes with a borrowed pair from another amp, still no good. From the beginning I suspected a capacitor issue but not filter capacitors.
