Samson Rubicon R5a monitor with DC on the output causing huge cone displacement when powered up.
Removal of the amplifier pcb for inspection revealed multiple dry joints, so many I have reflowed all single leg pads.
Second image of the pcb profile shows it to be curved not flat. Will have to pay attention when refitting to standoffs to ensure that the board is not stressed when tightened down.
Customer has sent both speakers so probably best to check the second amplifier too as there is a high probability that it will be similar.
