Red Setzer Gretsch back on a revisit just to have the pickup mounting screws replaced with some nice shiny new ones.
While servicing this guitar recently I found that the screws that passed through the soundboard into the void in the body had all corroded & one of the pickup mounting screws sheared when attempting to remove it.
The screws no3 raised countersunk proved a little elusive for purchase & the one supplier who claimed to stock them sent incorrect spec screws, actually no4.
Luthier suppliers demand silly money & I eventually purchased a pack of 50pcs with springs from Amazon labeled as ‘soapbar pickup’ mounting screws for £6 delivered. Perfect match to the original parts.
