Progress on the Columbus bass transformation to fretless. Other issues to be addressed while dismantled are the grossly misaligned strings to neck centre & the failed pickup replacement.
The neck is now de-fretted & inset with maple strips, fingerboard leveled and oiled. Headstock was sanded to remove the Columbus logo & will now be refinished with a new decal.
Someone previously attempted to realign the neck by deforming the neck bolt holes so they have been drilled out, plugged & will be re-drilled in the correct position.
