On the bench today @shroprockdoctor an Epiphone SG with a missing ground connection on the jack socket. Root cause being the rotation of the insufficiently tightened socket nut resulting in the wire being pulled off.
Following correct securing of the socket, a bit of soldering & some heat shrink tubing & this guitar is now noise free & on its way back to the young lady owner.
