Marshall DSL100H came in with a report of drastically reduced output & emission of the magic smoke 🙄.
Opened it up & found no evidence of excessive heating of any component. All fuses intact.
Taking a closer look revealed several poor repair attempts including mismatched 1 ohm bias resistors, footswitch board connector removed & a poor attempt at hard wiring, a bypass capacitor not soldered in & board trace /via damage.
All issues addressed before powering up & everything except front panel channel switch is working. Switching via the rear socket & footswitch is fine. Owner is not sure that the front switch ever worked.
Most importantly output is good at both power level settings.
PAT Passed & ready for collection.
