Fender Blues Deluxe in for a diagnostic to determine the cause of an excessive noise floor. 1st stage 12ax7 was microphonic & required replacement. As is a common modification on this amplifier it was replaced with the lower gain 12ay7 (JJ Tesla).
Sounds right to my ears now so just awaiting the owners approval.
