EVH strat is back together @shroprockdoctor with a few neck pocket mods.
This guitar was assembled from a collection af parts, all good component parts but the fact that the neck heel was under size for the pocket & too short to achieve a correct scale length so making it impossible to set intonation.
To correct this a spacer has been installed in the pocket pushing the neck out a few millimeters & so increasing the string length. This couldn’t be done with the bridge saddles because they met end of travel before correct intonation was achieved. For aesthetic reasons the side shims were made of white plastic 0.030″ per side to fill the void each side of the heel.
New set of D’Addario xl 10s to be fitted in the morning & a final check of the setup & she is good to go home.
