Dropped off @shroprockdoctor today an EVH strat with tuning stability issues.
Came in with a request to install the supplied Floyd Rose locking nut as the locking tuners were reported as not helping. Inspection of the installed plastic nut with all six strings cut deep below the nut surface made it the prime candidate for a change but rather than installation of the mdtal nut the decision was made to try a correctly cut bone nut before resorting to the locking nut which is far from a straight forward install on this beautifully finished neck.
