Ampeg SVT Classic 300w All valve bass head. This was brought in @shrop.rock.doctor for noise artifacts audible intermittently. Owner said it has been unused for a considerable amount of time, flight cased in dry storage.
Initial findings after hookup to a Hartke 300w 4×10 were as the customer description, low level crackle intermittently audible but in addition if left to warm up with no input a low level hum appears too that is not affected by any front panel controls.
Time to open her up, this beast weighs a tonne 💪😂
