Line6 Spider 2×12 Bognor tube combo in @shroprockdoctor for a fault presenting as no output. Normally you would be drawn initially to the power output section but as this has a digital front end I decided to begin at the control panel & that was where the issue lay.
The amplifier had been in storage for a considerable length of time & I suspect not in ideal conditions as moisture appears to be the root cause of the problem. The rotary controls are all standard pots & not encoders & are in no way hermetically sealed. The outer casings of the pots were oxidised so obviously moisture had entered the pots.
Boards had to be removed for access as some pots were mounted 180 degrees. All were dosed with switch cleaner & worked in.
On reassembly it was noticed that the speaker baffle was loose, someone previously having glued it partly in. Customer requested this was repaired too so now drilled & screwed together.
