Epiphone EJ-200CE/BK acoustic guitar brought in today for no output.
The guitar is equipped with a Shadow Esonic2 preamp with integrated tuner. This module blends & EQs a sound hole mounted mag pickup & an under saddle piezo.
A little Google searching reveals this to be a common issue with this preamp & replacement units near impossible to find. There is an updated version available but surprise surprise the original piezo pickup is not compatible so requires replacing too 😜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
A board repair may be a possibility but a schematic would be useful & we all know how easy it is to obtain one of those from most manufacturers.
